Job Description
In this role, you have the opportunity to
Be a site based engineer who is in charge of the technical office
construction project. Provides technical and administrative services
related to in scope processes (eg. design, execution, planning,
monitoring,..) including project reporting. Functions as expert regarding all
aspects of technical office processing.
You are responsible for
Follow up with the site team arising technical problems and provide
efficient solutions.Demonstrate great ability to work effectively and
efficiently in constantly changing business environment, to know how to
deal with failures and look critically at own work.Anticipate standard
solutions and take initiative and make suggestions, to challenge prevailing
assumptions.Demonstrate great ability to work effectively and efficiently in
constantly changing business environment, to know how to deal with
failures and look critically at own work.Plan, organize and prioritize own
work, to seek confirmation of priorities when confronted with unusual
situations, and to report on the state of affairs.Understand his role in the
team and in the broader departmental organization, to document best
practices and coach one or more specialists.Demonstrate responsibility
and ownership and report spontaneously to his manager.
Summarize data in a logical way and to check whether his own
observations or interpretations are correct.Dealing with similar or regularly
reoccurring situations, to start to apply risk management analysis.
Some daily tasks include:
Responsible to ensure that the site is supplied with all documentation,


methods and materials needed to carry out the works.
Prepare the construction method statements , Material Submittals,


workshop drawings and any other site related technical documents.
Prepare Vendor Technical and Commercial comparison sheets
Prepare project cost breakdown
Prepare and adjusting shop drawings.
Managing document control activities on site.
Delivering Project Technical documents
Prepare the construction method statements and risk assessments,


and develop work methods and temporary works necessary for project.
Prepare temporary works drawings and site related design drawings.
Prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets of offers


received from the subcontractors, and follow up of the subcontracted
works, including the payment applications.
Prepare work requisition for all required permanent materials, and


prepare material submittals and follow-up of the approval process.
Follow-up on the deliveries and invoicing of materials.
Draft Request for Information (RFI) and/or Request for Clarification to


the client to solve all discrepancies or contradictions within the
contract documents.
Monitor stored materials and regularly update inventory to be ahead of


supplies.
Initiate the Purchase Orders (POs) for the procurement to execute then


and make sure that materials are being delivered at the previously set
dates.
Inspect delivered materials to the site in order to match them with their


requests.
Submit “Shop Drawing status, PR & PO status” reports periodically to


facilitate communication and provide insights for the management.
Work on clients’ requests out of the preset scope and draft ‘Request


for Variation’ to issue Variation Orders (VOs) in both technical and
commercial offers.
Develop the job safety analysis.
Prepare Project Scheduling and Cost monitoring Reports
Monitoring project daily progress vs. plan and schedule.
Follow up on the work design and coordinate this with the site.
Coordinate on a daily basis with the subcontractors, and assist in the


preparation of the work requisition for the subcontracted works.
Doing quantity survey activities.
Review the project contract documents (time schedule, project design


drawings, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), etc.) in order to properly execute
materials supply to projects’ site.
Administer subcontractors’ invoices in order to maintain immediate


payment for service providers.
Control cost of material for the project and consistently report it to


properly manage the project’s budgeting.

Professional demeanor; Ability to use good judgment; Ability to maintain
confidentiality and exercise discretion.
Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in site
construction, technical Office Work, documentation and project
management
Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a
rapidly expanding customer base.
Must possess strong site management skills
Strong skill in AUTOCAD and PRIMEVERA
Organized and analytical, able to eliminate obstacles through creative and
adaptive approaches.
Requirements:
Must have a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction.
Must have at least 5 years of experience in a construction company,
preferably on larger projects.
Must have worked within a technical office.
Must speak Fluent English.
