Responsibilities
• Assist in coordination of structural, electrical and mechanical designs and determine a method of presentation to graphically represent building plans
• Draw rough and detailed scale plans for foundations, buildings and structures, based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data
• Lay out and plan interior room arrangements for commercial, industrial and residential buildings using computer-assisted drafting CAD equipment and software
• Obtain and assemble data to complete architectural designs, visiting job sites to compile measurements as necessary
• Determine procedures and instructions to be followed, according to design specifications and quantity of required materials.
• Follow-up on progress for various projects and tasks to ensure overall objectives and timelines are met.
• Must maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth.
Qualifications
• B.Sc. degree in Engineering
• Certification in Autodesk Revit is preferred
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit is required
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in the production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models
• Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings and other structures
• Construction background is preferred
